Members' Meeting and Guest Speaker - Professor James Trevelyan - Thursday 11 October 2018 at 7pm.
We're delighted that James has agreed to be our speaker at the October Members' meeting. James is an engineer, educator and researcher, who would like young engineers to be able to realise their full potential, far beyond the limited empowerment provided by conventional engineering education. Engineers, maybe only engineers, can eliminate the poverty and misery that characterises daily existence for most people on the planet. James has done a TED talk on "What Engineers Can Do About Poverty".
James is also involved in the multinational Close Comfort, and developed the sheep shearing robot.
